End-of-Life Issues for Patients With Primary or Metastatic Brain Tumors
Discussion Session 8 (time: 1 hour, 16 minutes)
The purpose of this session is to discuss the unique symptoms that occur at the end of life in patients with primary or metastatic brain tumors. Management of these symptoms will be discussed. Caregivers require special help in coping with these neurologically related symptoms at the end of life. Up to date literature will be presented and an interactive discussion will occur using case studies to share some possibilities to best manage the end of life of patients with primary or metastatic brain tumors.
